Q?
What is a Spiritual Direction Relationship like?
-
A.
My "style" is relaxed, down to earth, and not very churchy. I value authenticity. I don't employ a clinical / therapy model and gravitate towards a relational, friendship approach. We are "soul friends" sharing the road of faith together.
One size doesn't fit all! I value you and your unique story. We'll talk over coffee, pray and listen together. We enjoy prayer of all kinds as well as spiritual practices that help cultivate a rhythm in your life that fits with the way you have been uniquely created. These may include different kinds of prayer, silence, liturgy, music, walking in nature, writing, creating, gardening and more!

Q?
Is our time together confidential?
-
A.
Our time together is sacred, so our conversations are treated as such and held in strict confidence. This helps to create a relationship of trust and a safe place to share. I will not reveal the content of our conversations to anyone unless you indicate that you might be a harm to yourself or another, or we are required to do so by law or court order. We will communicate with you should this ever become necessary.
On the other hand, you are free to share whatever you wish from our time together with anyone you choose.
-
Q?
What does Spiritual Direction cost?
-
A.
My standard rate for Spiritual Direction is $79.00 per 60-minute session. That being said, spiritual direction should be available to anyone who genuinely desires it. Please contact us to discuss arrangements.
We accept payment by Interac email money transfer, VISA or Mastercard.

Q?
How can I make the most of our time together?
-
A.
To enhance the spiritual direction experience, folks are encouraged to prepare for sessions with prayer/meditation and by reflecting upon things they want to discuss, take notes or journal during or after the session on key points, follow up on things your director recommends. Understand that spiritual growth takes time, effort, and patience.
All that being said, just be however you find yourself at the time, as authentic and as honest as you can. -
Q?
How do we meet?
-
A.
Our time together can be:
- In person (where possible)
- Skype Video Chat
- Zoom
The best fit can be determined after booking.
-
Q?
How often do we meet?
-
A.
It’s up to you! Depending on your individual needs. It is recommended that you meet with your spiritual director once a month to facilitate growth and progress. However, it is up to you and how you feel led. Spiritual direction can take place for just a few sessions or over many years.
-
Q?

-
A.

Q?
Ending our Spiritual Direction Relationship
-
A.
I like healthy transition and to mark these with prayer and gratitude. When you wish to end our spiritual direction relationship, it works best if you let me know at least twenty-four hours before your last session. The wrap-up session gives you the opportunity to talk about our time together, tie up any loose ends, pray together and to send you on in your journey with gratitude, joy and peace.
