Hi \u2014 I\u2019m Michael Rose<\/strong>. I\u2019m a spiritual director, grief and loss specialist, writer based in Alberta, Canada.
For more than 30 years, I\u2019ve walked with people through seasons of change \u2014 when faith feels fragile, grief rearranges everything,
or the old answers no longer fit.<\/p>\n

My work isn\u2019t about fixing people.
It\u2019s about helping to create honest, steady space where you can breathe and listen for what is true.<\/p>\n

Spiritual Direction<\/h2>\n

Sometimes what we need most isn\u2019t advice \u2014 it\u2019s accompaniment.<\/em><\/p>\n

Spiritual direction is a confidential conversation where we pay attention to your real life \u2014 your questions, doubts, longings, and hopes \u2014 and gently notice where God may already be present.<\/p>\n

I hold a Master of Ministry in Spiritual Formation and a Master of Arts in Theology and Culture. My theological home is Open and Relational \u2014understanding God as love at the center of everything: present, persuasive, and life-giving, never coercive.<\/p>\n

What matters most is that you feel safe, heard, and unhurried.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grief changes us.<\/em><\/p>\n

It can unsettle faith and make the world feel unfamiliar. As a certified Grief Recovery specialist and retired hospital chaplain, I\u2019ve walked with individuals and families in some of life\u2019s most tender moments.<\/p>\n

I offer steady companionship \u2014 not quick answers or spiritual clich\u00e9s \u2014 but space to tell the truth about what hurts and discover how love still holds.<\/p>\n

Grief doesn\u2019t need to be rushed. It needs room.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Different Story<\/h2>\n

Much of my writing reimagines inherited Christian stories in ways that actually help real people. I\u2019m shaped by Open and Relational Theology and the hopeful vision of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin \u2014 the conviction that love is more original than fear, and more enduring than loss.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m the author of Becoming Love<\/em>, but at heart I\u2019m simply someone who believes love is the truest thing about God \u2014 and about you.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
