Prayer: Ignation Contemplation

Posted on June 14, 2011September 2, 2016 by Michael Rose

This video with Jim Martin SJ provides a brief introduction to Ignatian style of prayer called Contemplation.  This is a rich, creative and very powerful way to experience God in prayer through the scriptures.  Martin describes in very simple terms how we can enter into the stories of the Gospel using our imagination and gain a greater depth of experience with God through the scripture.  In the midst of this we may become aware of emotions, memories, desires and maybe a way of God to speak to us about these things!

Consider joining us for Group Spiritual Direction to explore this form of prayer.
